Evening Sky-- Venus(west) Mars(east) Jupiter(west) Uranus(west)
Midnight-- Mars(southwest) Saturn(southeast)
Morning Sky-- Mercury(southeast) Mars(northwest) Saturn(southwest)
Jupiter slides out of the sky this month to be replaced by Saturn.
February 24 is the peak of the Delta Leonid meteor shower in the west-southwest best time will be 4-5am,we should
see about 5 per hour. This is just a minor shower. Asteroid 4 Vesta will be visible with binoculars on the 16/17 and
move slowly out--look west in Leo for the star Algieba and it will be right under it,in an hour of viewing you will see it
move. Just Google Leo to find the star. Now if we can just get some clear skies,December was the last time we could
get the scopes out. So that's it for February.
